 Post subject: Fall out 3 crashing Windows 7

Looking for any help with my concern. Fall out 3 will work until I patch it to 1.7 then it will crash on start up every time. Have tried downloading the patch directly from vendor and also through Games for Windows live. Build this new rig so can play the game at the highest setting and now frustrated. Any help would be appreciated.

ASUS Crosshare III Formula
AMD Phenom II 965
4gig ddr3
Sapphire HD 4870 Vapor X
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
